init.d started from a simple idea: solid infrastructure should not be a luxury reserved for big companies. We help SMBs, agencies and startups design, run and secure their servers, cloud and applications, with a practical and transparent approach.
We are a team of Linux sysadmins and developers. For over ten years we have kept servers and applications running (and let people sleep at night): enterprise distros, web servers, databases, containers and automation.
We work with small and mid-sized businesses, web agencies and startups that need solid infrastructure without affording an in-house IT department. Little talk, a lot of practice.
What we do
We cover the whole lifecycle of a Linux infrastructure: from provisioning and initial hardening to day-to-day monitoring, from tested backups to incident response. We configure web servers, databases and containers, automate with Ansible and Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines and develop custom tools when off-the-shelf ones fall short.
Who we work with
We get along with those who need reliable infrastructure without affording (or wanting) an in-house IT department: e-commerce that cannot go offline, agencies delivering projects to their clients, growing SaaS, studios and SMBs looking for a serious technical partner. We speak both the language of developers and of non-technical people.

Our approach
No over-engineered solutions: we pick the simplest option that holds, document it and leave you in control. We prefer open standards and reproducible setups, so you are never locked to us. And when something breaks, we actually respond, instead of dropping a ticket into the void.
