Overview

We know these platforms from both sides: we write code that follows their conventions - hooks, overrides, official APIs - and we keep them running in production, so we know what holds up under real traffic and what breaks at the first update. It’s a practical difference: a module can work perfectly in a demo and then multiply queries under load, or clash with checkout caching. Anyone who’s never run a shop in production discovers this after the fact; we design for it beforehand.

The scope is clearly defined: we don’t build custom e-commerce platforms from scratch, and we don’t work on SaaS platforms like Shopify. We start from the platform you’re already using - or the one it makes sense to adopt - and build what’s missing from it: the particular pricing logic, the connection to your management software, the checkout trimmed to essentials. We write the code and keep it running in production: that goes for your shop too.

Stack and technologies

We develop in PHP following each platform’s architecture: hooks and the REST API for WooCommerce, modules and overrides for PrestaShop, modules with dependency injection for Magento. When an integration deserves to live outside the shop - a middleware layer for the ERP, a sync service - we build it with Laravel, with queues on Redis to absorb webhook spikes. Data lives on MySQL/MariaDB; all code is versioned in Git, with a staging environment and repeatable deploys. If we also host the shop, the servers run on Debian or Ubuntu - AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux or other distributions on request - mainly on Google Cloud, with AWS and DigitalOcean as alternatives. No dependency on us: the repository is yours, documentation included, and any PHP developer can pick up the work.

A real-world example

A B2B distributor on PrestaShop was receiving orders online but copying them into their management software by hand: two people tied up every morning, stock levels never aligned, sales of items that were actually out of stock. We built a module that talks to the ERP’s REST API: orders now go through automatically with a tracked outcome, stock levels flow back to the shop at regular intervals, and errors land in a readable log instead of vanishing without a trace. The module follows PrestaShop’s standards, so platform updates don’t touch it. Result: no more double entry, stock kept aligned, and out-of-stock order cancellations down to isolated cases. The client has the code in their own repository, with documentation to keep evolving it even without us.

How we work

Analysis comes first: we understand the process, check whether a solid off-the-shelf solution already exists - and if it does, we’ll tell you, even if it means selling you fewer hours - and only then write code. Every module is versioned, documented and tested on staging with realistic data before it touches production. Quotes are free, with a reply within one working day; we bill at €75/hour or by project, and for ongoing work many clients use hour packages, which never expire. And if we also manage the shop on the server side, updates and performance stay our problem, not yours: the same team is accountable for both the code and the server.
