Stack and technologies

The backend is Laravel on a recent PHP version, with MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL as the database and Redis for cache, sessions and queues. The frontend is Vue: from single components inside existing pages up to full SPAs, depending on what the project genuinely needs.

In production the application runs behind Nginx with PHP-FPM, workers under Supervisor, and releases go through a CI/CD pipeline with tests and rollback where needed. The servers we set up run on Debian or Ubuntu; on request we also work with AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and other distributions. As a cloud we start from Google Cloud, with AWS and DigitalOcean as proven alternatives; where the infrastructure is more complex we describe it with Terraform, without imposing it on smaller projects. We choose widespread, documented tools precisely because the code has to be able to live on without us.

A real-world example

A distribution company was collecting orders from its sales agents by phone and email, then copying them into the management software by hand: typos, outdated price lists and hours lost every week. We built an order portal in Laravel and Vue connected to the existing management software via API: agents see up-to-date price lists and availability, enter the order from a tablet, and the management software receives it already validated. The project started from a minimum scope - records, catalogue, orders - and grew through successive releases, with a demo at every step. Today we keep the portal running in production ourselves: hosting, monitoring, backups and small enhancements are part of the same relationship, and the company has a single point of contact for both code and server.

The code lives in a repository that’s yours, with documentation and deploy instructions: no lock-in, no piece that only we understand. After launch, you decide how involved we stay: handover and goodbye, or ongoing management of server and application. For recurring fixes and enhancements, hour packages that never expire are often the better fit; for urgent issues, the triage described in our response times applies.
